The Museum Series 100 Images
From 2017
In this series, I assumed the role of the viewer instead of the art creator, which marked a significant departure from my usual approach to engaging with visual art. A shift in perspective was needed to foster a deeper understanding of the artwork and its context, and in many of these images, I quite literally did just that by stepping away from the creation process. This change allowed me to immerse myself in the experience of observation, where the act of seeing became as important as the act of creating. Capturing a moment in time became crucial for me; it was about freezing these images in time, encapsulating fleeting instances that might otherwise go unnoticed in the hustle and bustle of daily life. Each photograph serves as a testament to the impermanence of moments, inviting viewers to pause and reflect on the significance of what they see.
Additionally, it became essential to blur the image to create an atmosphere free from the constraints of detail. This intentional blurring was not merely a stylistic choice but rather a deliberate strategy to evoke emotions and provoke thought. By softening the edges and obscuring certain elements, I aimed to invite the viewer into a realm where interpretation is subjective, and the essence of the moment can be felt rather than explicitly defined. The blurred images transform the ordinary into something extraordinary, allowing the viewer to engage with the work on a more emotional level rather than being distracted by intricate details. Daily snapshots narrate this story in a setting where artworks typically serve as the backdrop, creating a juxtaposition between the transient nature of everyday life and the permanence of art. Through this series, I sought to explore the intersection of observation and creation, emphasizing the importance of perspective in understanding and appreciating the world around us.

Photography: Untitled - Non-Static Impressionism - I've blurred the images (30" x 40") and (40" x 60") in order to make each of the elements equally as important - Color, Tone & Composition

The Blurring of Time
By Eric Buechel
In the whisper of dusk, where shadows entwine, Moments collide,
and the stars start to shine. Days slip like water through fingers of fate, As echoes of
laughter and silence await. Memories flicker like fireflies' dance, Each heartbeat a thread in the fabric
of chance. The past and the future, a tapestry spun, In the twilight of now, all is woven
as one. Seasons may change, yet the essence remains, In the blurring of time, love knows no chains.
For in every heartbeat, in every sigh, We find the eternal, as moments pass by.
So let us embrace this ephemeral flow, For the blurring of time is where true feelings grow. In the dance
of the ages, we find our sweet rhyme, In the infinite now, we are lost yet sublime.
