Castle in the Clouds
by Eric Buechel
In the realm where dreams take flight,
A castle in the clouds shines bright,
With turrets tall and banners wide,
Contentment dwells, my heart's true guide.
No treasures vast, no riches grand,
Just simple joys, a gentle hand,
The sun that warms, the breeze that sighs,
In nature's arms, my spirit flies.
A garden blooms with colors rare,
Each petal whispers, "Love is there,"
The laughter shared, the moments small,
In these, I find my wealth, my all.
The stars above, a twinkling choir,
Remind me of my heart's desire,
Not castles made of stone and gold,
But warmth and peace, a life untold.
For in this space, where dreams align,
I hold the world, and it is mine,
No longing deep, no yearning wide,
Just happiness, my constant guide.
So let the clouds drift soft and slow,
In this serene, enchanted glow,
For what I seek, I've come to see,
Is all I am, and all I’ll be.
