"The Three Little Blackbirds" By Eric Buechel

The Three Little Blackbirds
By Eric Buechel
Three little blackbirds perched high on a tree,
Chirping and flapping, so joyful and free.
With feathers like shadows and spirits so bright,
They dreamed of their futures, their hearts full of light.
The first little blackbird, with a spark in her eye,
Yearned to be an artist, to paint the blue sky.
With a palette of colors, she'd splash, and she'd swirl,
Creating a canvas where beauty would twirl.
The second, a farmer, with a heart full of grace,
Imagined the fields, the sweet earth's embrace.
With seeds in his beak and dreams in his soul,
He’d nurture the land, make the wildflowers roll.
The third little blackbird, wise and so keen,
Longed to help the forest grow lush and green.
With each little seed that she gently would sow,
She’d whisper to nature, “Together we’ll grow.”
They stretched out their wings as the sun shone bright,
“Let’s learn how to fly!” the first blackbird took flight.
With giggles and chirps, they soared through the air,
Three little blackbirds, a magical pair.
Through blossoms and meadows, they danced with delight,
Exploring the wonders from morning till night.
In the heart of the forest, they found joy and cheer,
Three little blackbirds, their dreams drawing near.
As seasons would change, they faced trials anew,
But together they thrived, their bond ever true.
With berries for feasts and friends all around,
Three little blackbirds, in love they were bound.
With courage and laughter, they spread their wings wide,
Embracing their dreams, with the forest as guide.
Three little blackbirds, each finding their way,
In the heart of the forest, they’d forever stay.
