Twilight Passage
by Eric Buechel
In the old city where shadows blend,
The sun dips low, a golden friend.
Twilight whispers in hues of gray,
As the day sighs softly, fading away.
A gentle rain begins to fall,
Each drop a note in the evening's call.
She walks with grace on cobblestone,
In this quiet world, she’s not alone.
The lanterns flicker, casting light,
On memories woven in the night.
Each step a story, each glance a dream,
In the twilight's embrace, all is as it seems.
With every raindrop, the city sighs,
As the sun bids farewell to the skies.
In this passage of time, she finds her way,
In the heart of the old city, where shadows play.
