The Flower Arrangement
by Eric Buechel
In tranquil glades where sunlight weaves,
A tapestry of gold through leaves,
There blooms a tale, in colors bright,
A fragrant dance of pure delight.
Upon the table, soft and fair,
A gathering of blossoms rare,
With petals brushed by nature's hand,
In harmony, they sweetly stand.
The rose, a blush of love's embrace,
The daisy's charm, a child's grace,
While lilies whisper secrets old,
In silver hues, their stories told.
Each stem a journey, roots entwined,
In earth's embrace, their fates aligned,
They draw from soil, from sun and rain,
A symphony of joy and pain.
Oft do I ponder, in this room,
The fleeting nature of their bloom,
Yet in their presence, life’s refrain,
Speaks of the beauty born from pain.
So let us cherish, while we may,
This fleeting gift, this bright array,
For in each flower, life imparts,
A mirror to our tender hearts.
