May Crowning
by Eric Buechel
In the gentle bloom of May's embrace,
We gather 'round with reverent grace,
To crown the Queen of Heaven's light,
With blossoms pure, a sacred rite.
Her virtues shine, a guiding star,
In every heart, both near and far,
A symbol of love, both tender and true,
In every petal, we find anew.
With garlands woven from nature's hand,
We honor her in this cherished land,
Children's voices, sweetly sing,
In joyful praise, their offerings bring.
A statue dressed in flowers bright,
Reflects the beauty of the night,
As candles flicker, prayers ascend,
In unity, our hearts we blend.
O Mary, Mother, hear our plea,
Guide us in faith, set our souls free,
With every prayer, we seek your grace,
In May's soft light, we find our place.
So let us crown with love and cheer,
The Queen of Heaven, ever near,
In every heart, her spirit reigns,
Through May's sweet song, her love remains.
