In the morning light, where the waters gleam, Lake Hopatcong whispers, a tranquil dream. Gentle waves dance, in a rhythmic embrace, Reflecting the sky, a serene, azure space. With each lapping sound, a story unfolds, Of summer's warm laughter, and memories gold. Boats glide like swans, on the surface so wide, While the sun dips low, casting shadows with pride. The call of the loons, a haunting refrain, Echoes through valleys, like sweet summer rain. Families gather, their joys intertwined, In the heart of the lake, true solace we find. As twilight descends, and the stars take their place, The waves softly murmur, a soothing grace. In the stillness of night, under moon's gentle sway, Lake Hopatcong's magic will forever stay. So here's to the waters, both deep and profound, To the laughter and love, in their ripples abound. In the heart of New Jersey, where nature's at play, We cherish the waves of Lake Hopatcong, each day.
