Diego's Wall II
In November of 2016 I finally got to see Diego Rivera's "North Wall" at the Detroit Institute of Art. I spent hours looking at his brushwork and his brilliant compact composition. The surface of this masterpiece was as smooth as glass and the luminosity beyond words. I was so amazed by his work I decided I had to pay tribute to the master. This is my second mixed media painting I've painted of the subject. I've added people into my work including my wife Kathy on the far left side of the painting to create the activity which I experienced during my visit to the DIA.
