The Samurai series debuted in January 2017, drawing inspiration from the breathtaking Samurai armor exhibition at the Frist Museum in Nashville. This impressive display of Japanese culture offered visuals that transcended simple. My goal was to pay tribute to the legendary warrior class that rose to prominence in the 12th century and governed Japan until the 1870s. By intentionally blurring the images, I aimed showcase the strength of these remarkable warriors, accentuating their vivid colors, tones, compositions, and unbreakable spirit.
